This problem exists after you have bought a used device and try to log onto the BIS "Blackberry Internet Service" site with your computer.

First use your device to set up a new email account Hotmail, Gmail Yahoo.Go to the BIS site hit the "forgot password" link. use the desktop manager to find your device PIN, and send email to yourself.

The site will send you a message:

You asked to have your password sent to your device.

Exactly! with your device navigate to the BIS site Under new users Create new account

Follow the steps and create a new account

Log in and you should see your account you created with the device. Remember if you are going to sell the device, delete all accounts from here or the next time someone pushes the service books they may get your email as well.

My device has a previous users Email account on it

Go to Tools>Options>Advanced options>Service books.

Highlight the entry with the email address you want to get rid of followed by [CMIME]

press the Blackberry key and select delete

How do I turn off wireless synchronization so I can use the Desktop manager sync?
